The 60-something Star Trek Star is used to being in the spotlight for her success as an actress. However, after going through the menopause Alley reached almost 228 pounds and started to miss out on roles which led to her developing a habit of emotional eating. The actress decided to take a committed approach to her fluctuating weight to adopt a healthy lifestyle that has helped her to shed 50 pounds so far. Kirstie Alley started the Jenny Craig program where she developed the skills of healthy eating and exercising. The actress works out three times a week, choosing to follow programs like dance classes or yoga, she also sticks to not eating after 7 p.m. So far the actress has maintained her new weight successfully and appears to be healthy.

 Valerie Bertinelli: Strict Diet and Exercise

The success of TV shows such as Touched By an Angel and Hot in Cleveland owe some credit to Valerie Bertinelli being in the cast. However, in 2007 the actress started to gain attention for looking out of shape instead of her acting. Valerie Bertinelli decided that it was time to lose weight, joining the Jenny Craig weight loss program where she lost her additional 172 pounds by following a program of regular exercise and a strict diet. She later became a spokesperson for the program appearing in a number of their commercials. In 2008 she released an autobiography titled Losing it: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time which goes into detail about her Jenny Craig diet experience.
