The American retired actress Kim Novak was one of Hollywood’s most successful female performers before deciding to kiss goodbye to show business in 1991. Active since 1954, she made cinema history by appearing in the 1958 thriller “Vertigo,” a suspenseful Alfred Hitchcock production that is widely considered to be one of the greatest classics of 20th-century American film.

Utterly dedicated to painting since she quit the world of entertainment, Novak was also popularized by her roles in “Bell Book and Candle,” “Picnic,” “Kiss Me, Stupid,” and “Falcon Crest.” She received several accolades throughout the years, including two Golden Globe Awards.
