Michael Jordan – Basketball – $1.9 Billion

He’s referenced in just about every conversation about basketball and several brands have endorsement partnerships with him. We are talking about Michael Jeffery Jordan who is the Charlotte Hornets’ principal owner. He put in 15 seasons on the court and won six NBA championships.

Jordan helped popularize the NBA globally back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. He famously teamed up with Nike and the Air Jordan sneakers collection skyrocketed to success.  With an estimated $1.6 billion, he ranks in the top five on the list of the richest African Americans.
