Bill Cosby is widely regarded as one of the most iconic comedians in history. Having started his career in the ’60s, he shared career beginnings with the iconic Richard Pryor. He also won five consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album and became the first African American to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor.

While he cemented his place as an icon with his self-titled sitcom The Cosby Show, his reputation to a knock when he was convicted of indecent assault in 2018. He did some jail time but in June 2021 the conviction was overturned, and Cosby was released from prison on the day of the ruling.
