Brittney Griner and Cherelle Watson

Brittney Yevette Griner is a professional basketball player from the United States. In June 2019, she married Cherelle Watson, who has since changed her name to Cherelle Griner. Watson met Griner while attending Baylor in Texas, but they didn’t start dating until years later after Griner divorced her now ex-wife, Glory Johnson, in 2016.

In 2018, Griner proposed to Watson and then took to social media to announce her engagement to her longtime girlfriend, Watson. They married a year later, on June 18, 2019. Griner is the mother of two children, Ava and Solei. During their marriage, her ex-wife gave birth to twins.
