Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen had his ups and downs in English football. He got named club captain at Arsenal but found it hard to cement a place in the team the same season he became captain. One major positive that came from his time in England, though, was meeting his girlfriend.

That woman is a glamour model and TV personality named Polly Parsons. She is best known for presenting the show Fun Song Factory and her roles in shows like Disastrous and Genie in the House. Vermaelen, who currently plays for Belgian team Vissel Kobe, has been dating Parsons since 2012.
