They held the belief that children of farmers and other hardworking individuals deserved the advantages of higher education.

So, the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts came into being, setting the stage for a remarkable journey. Now, the school is renowned not just for its programs but also for the Krispy Kreme Challenge, where students dash across two and a half miles to reach the nearest Krispy Kreme.
