Game of Thrones Cast Then & Now and Where They’re Going To Be In The Show’s Great Finale

Ever since the final season of the Game of Thrones was announced in July 2016, GoT fans have been sitting on the edge of their seats fraught with anxiety in anticipation of what the season will have in store for all their favorite and-not-so-favorite characters. Season eight of the hit series was filmed from October 2017 until July 2018. However, the cast and the crew did an excellent job of preventing any leaks, and we will all only really know what’s to happen when it is released in April 2019. Here, we give you a list of some minor and major characters and what might become of them…

I Know Death, He’s Got Many Faces

As we approach the grand finale of our beloved epic saga, we see that our heroes have come back to where it all started – Winterfell. The trailer seems to announce that the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will bring us a symphony of fire and ice, life and death, and inevitable destruction. It opens with Arya Stark, the youngest of the Stark children, scared and apparently hiding. We later see her running for her life after she flashes a Dragon Glass dagger. Since the TV show has long gone beyond the written source material from the G.R.R. Martin’s books, we can only speculate what role will Arya play in the upcoming war.

The Queen’s Ambition

In the previous two seasons, we’ve had a glimpse into Cersei Lannister’s past and whether or not we believe the witches curse is true or false, she has proven one thing. She desired to become a queen ever since she was a girl and she has watched every one of her children and countless others die for the sake of her ambition. Cersei has wiped out everyone who stood in her way and, now, she finally has the throne as her property. She stands here with her most trusted servants, Qyburn and the Mountain, as she gazes at the coming storm, with a look of satisfaction.

The Three-Eyed Raven Has Seen Much

Bran Stark has gotten a firm grip on his powers in the past season. He has now fully embraced his role as the Three-Eyed Raven. His powers as a “greenseer” and a warg have enabled him to see many things, past, present, and future. Now, Bran and Sam both know the true origin of Jon Snow. They know that he is actually the last male Targaryen and has a rightful claim to his family’s inheritance and the Iron Throne. The still haven’t told him, while John and Daenerys Targaryen already developed a deep personal bond. Daenerys is John Snow’s aunt by blood, so we can only speculate how this will affect them.
