Anthony Hopkins – 1937, Port Talbot
Anthony Hopkins scared us silly with his terrifying performance as the cannibalistic Hannibal Lecter in the cult movie The Silence of the Lambs, winning him an Oscar for Best Actor in 1991. With Hopkins, there is no half measure as witnessed by every performance of his on the big screens; the proof is in the way, at 83, he edged out great actors to win the coveted Oscar for his slice-of-life portrayal of the aging man in The Father.
It’s impressive that Hopkins is the oldest to have won in the category! While he isn’t filming yet another challenging role, the acting legend enjoys playing with his cat!
