When we think of celebrity homes, it’s often the luxurious mansions showcased in Architectural Digest’s “Open Door” series that spring to mind. This is why when Drew Barrymore shared a glimpse of her surprisingly modest living room in January, people were left a bit confused.
The actress shared a casual video of herself watching “The Wedding Singer,” her 1998 rom-com with Adam Sandler.
In the clip, Drew explained that she had to postpone her yoga class because she noticed the film was on TV. After she turned her camera towards the screen, viewers were surprised to see not a huge 85-inch flat-screen but a more average-sized one.
The small TV was placed on top of a stand against the wall. In front of it was a coffee table with some magazines and a mug.

After Drew posted the clip, people began commenting on her low-key living room, noting how it didn’t resemble the typical lavish room one would expect to see in a millionaire’s home.
“Trying to figure out why she has no furniture and a miniature TV on a nightstand,” someone commented on the “50 First Dates” actress’ video.
“Amazing movie. But I’m shocked that someone worth 50 million has an 11-inch TV in her living room. Lol,” somebody else said.
In a recent TikTok video, the 49-year-old star—whose estimated net worth is $125 million—offered her fans another glimpse into her home.
In a new video, the actress showed off her kitchen, dining area, and bathroom, which don’t appear to be luxurious

One of the frames sees Drew recording herself in a corner of her house that is adorned with multiple framed scenic paintings and green curtains. She appears in what looks like no makeup with an on-screen text that reads, “I like staying home.
In another clip, the California native can be seen frying eggs in her kitchen, dressed in a casual outfit consisting of a Minnie Mouse T-shirt and sweatpants.
The shot shows Drew’s white gas cooker, which appears to be pretty standard.
Furthermore, her walk-in closet doesn’t resemble the massive ones people would associate with Paris Hilton or Kylie Jenner. While still spacious, it doesn’t seem too extravagant. The space also has what appears to be a wicker laundry basket and some clothes lying on the floor.

In the final frame of the video, Drew sits down to eat at her dining table, which is covered with a floral tablecloth and a striped placemat for her plate. In front of the table, an open white cupboard reveals shelves of crockery.
She also shares a glimpse of another TV, which is larger than the one the actress filmed in January.
The Golden Globe winner has previously shown her bathroom on social media. While recording an ad for a tattoo balm, Drew revealed her regular-sized shower with traditional black and white tiling. Inside, the shower has a small plastic caddy overflowing with bathroom products.

People expressed their surprise by her latest video, pointing out that Drew’s home has a cozy vibe instead of looking over-the-top.
“I love the fact that she lives in a regular apartment doing normal things and just living her best life,” a fan wrote.
“You give off the vibes you bought your first apartment, and you are still there. So wholesome and cute,” another social media user said.
A third person said, “I love that your house looks like a home and not just a showpiece.”
“I couldn’t express just how much your humble life and sweet personality soothe my soul!” a separate TikTok user commented.
“That’s probably her side house,” a social media user wrote
