Richard Chamberlain – 87, Beverly Hills
Don’t let anyone ever tell you that Richard Chamberlain isn’t a big deal in Hollywood. He pioneered the underage boy genius as a real doctor theme when he starred in the series called Dr. Kildare, which laid down the template for Neil Patrick Harris to play Doogie Howser.
He also had film roles in movies like The Three Musketeers and The Count Of Monte Cristo. But he returned to TV in the ’80s starring in a mini-series of The Bourne Identity, in which he played the title character. He had a short-lived music career and is currently filming for a documentary called Spirit of Evolution.
