Adam Sandler’s daughters have seemingly tried to avoid using their nepo baby status in their private lives as they have been “avoiding” talking to the actor, who recently discussed working with them in films at the premiere of his new movie Spaceman, highlighting the challenges of parental bonding.
The 57-year-old comedy star was accompanied by his family as he walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie, Spaceman, held at the Egyptian Theater on Monday (February 26).
Upon exchanging some conversations with reporters, Adam was questioned about sharing the screen with his daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, in a handful of movies.

Most recently, Sunny reportedly joined her father as Anna in Spaceman, while he played Jakub Prochazka, an astronaut on a solo mission to Jupiter.
When asked if casting his teenage girls in films is the best way to spend time with them, Adam admitted, as per People: “They still don’t talk to you. They go do their thing.”
He added: “They do the best they can, and then they go do their life. I am on the side going, ‘Love you.’ I say ‘I love you’ a lot to them.”

The sisters might avoid conversations with their famous father, but this hasn’t stopped Sadie and Sunny from taking acting jobs alongside Adam for more than a decade now, regularly starring in films with their model-actress mother, Jackie, 49, as well.
Jackie and Adam have reportedly been married since 2003. Moreover, the Sandler family recently starred together in the 2023 Netflix film You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah.
Siblings Sadie and Sunny also voiced characters Jayda and Summer, respectively, alongside their dad, who voiced Leo, in the 2023 animated film Leo, People reported.

“They’ve been excited about this night,” Adam told E! News at the Egyptian Theatre on Monday.
He added: “I’ve been hearing about it for two weeks. ‘The premiere! The premiere!’ I was like, ‘The premiere? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I forgot about that.’
“I got old, man. I don’t think about this stuff so much. But the kids get excited.”

IMDb’s synopsis for Spaceman reads: “Half a year into his solo mission on the edge of the solar system, an astronaut concerned with the state of his life back on Earth is helped by an ancient creature he discovers in the bowels of his ship.”
On the set of his new movie, Adam has had to try to simulate a zero-gravity environment in the presence of his daughters.
He told E! News during the red carpet event: “They were there for a lot of it.
“They put some wires on and floated around, too. Yeah, yeah, that was cool.”
The sci-fi drama will premiere on Netflix on March 1 and features actors Carey Mulligan, Paul Dano, Kunal Nayyar, and Isabella Rossellini.
