This K-9 Wildlife Control Officer Is Cooler Than Any Of Us Combined
You’d think that the biggest challenge airport staff has to go through is keeping the humans in check, but that wasn’t the case at Michigan’s Cherry Capital Airport. Their workflow was often interrupted by wildlife, which forced them to take precautions.
Instead of hiring a group of humans to chase away wild animals, they hired a K-9 wildlife control officer named Piper to do the task for them. Sadly, according to the Washington Post, the border collie officer scared off his 8,367th and last bird in January 2018, after serving for three years. You’ll always be remembered, Piper!
