Kristy McNichol, Born In 1962 – Little Darlings

Christy McNichol gained fame at a young age playing lead roles as a teenager in series like Little Darlings and Only When I Laugh. She would also later star in the Golden Girls spinoff Empty Nest, but with youthful stardom comes great stress, and she suffered terrible mental breakdowns.

She would eventually retire from acting in 1998, saying that it was time for her to play herself, which is her biggest role. Escaping the stress of a career in acting also saves her from aging, and she still maintains many of the features she had as a young star. These days she teaches acting at a private school.
